COURT HOUSE — County Clerk Rita Marie Fulginiti has been notified by the U.S. Department of State that U.S. Passport fees will increase effective Tues., July 13. The fee for a first time adult applicant for a U.S. Passport Book will increase to $135 from $100.
Fulginiti urges citizens needing a first time passport or renewal by mail to apply by July 12 before the fee increase.
Passport application fees for routine service will increase on July 13 as follows:
U.S Passport Book for First Time Applicants: Passport fee, payable to Department of State, $100; Acceptance Fee $25; Payable to County Clerk, $135.
Adults, age 16 and over, $110.00, from 75.
Minors, under age 16, $80 from $60.
U.S. Passport Card for First Time Applicants, Adults $55; minors $40.
Adults renewing their U.S. Passports by mail will pay $110 (from $75 for routine service.)
