Triathlon Traffic Changes in North Wildwood

NORTH WILDWOOD — North Wildwood police have issued traffic advisory for the bicycle portion of the TRI/DU Triathlon held on city streets Saturday Aug. 22.
The bike portion of the race will be closed to traffic for about two hours starting at 7:30 a.m. It will start at 13th and J.F.K. Beach Drive and proceed to 5th Avenue.
The race continues west on 5th Avenue to Central Avenue where the bicyclists make a left on Central Avenue and proceed south to 25th Avenue.
They will make four loops on Central Avenue from 5th to 25th Avenue and then return east down 5th Avenue to J.F.K. Beach Drive where they will continue southbound to 13th and J.F.. Beach Drive and transition back onto the beach for the run.
Drivers should use 4th or 26th Avenue from the east to the west section of the city. Motorists should plan to use 26th Avenue to get across Central Avenue.
