Transfer Lines, then Move Trailers

By Camille Sailer

SEA ISLE CITY – A question arose during public comment at Sea Isle City’s Council meeting Jan. 8 as to when Verizon will be removing its trailers that are parked at the old school building.
“They’ve been there for months, I know, and we’re working with them to get them out,” explained Business Administrator George Savastano. “They’re not that easy to work with since there are so many divisions, but we’ve had a productive discussion with them about two weeks ago.
“They need to transfer some lines that require bracket mounting and once this work is done, I expect they’ll be able to get the trailers out. We can’t contract this work out since only Verizon has the capacity and authority to do the work.”
