DENNISVILLE – Dennis Township Committee heard from a resident June 12 who asked, “When are we finally going to see Route 55 extended to the shore? Every year, the traffic just keeps getting worse and worse. And the accidents on Route 47 continue so that at least every week there’s one bad one.” Mayor Zeth Matalucci replied, “I live on Route 47 and I can’t even get out of my driveway in the summer. Everyone has been trying for years to get this extension. We’re doing a lot in Dennis to improve things for everyone but this situation is beyond us. We need help from the state, and it’s a question of funds, like everything.”
