PETERSBURG – At its Aug. 26 meeting, Upper Township Committee passed a resolution in support of a full interchange at Exit 20 on the Garden State Parkway.
Exit 20 is located near the intersection of Routes 9 and 50 in Seaville. Motorists can’t use Exit 20 to enter the Parkway’s northbound lanes nor get off of the Parkway in Upper Township while heading southbound.
Upper Township wants the exit expanded to include four-way access.
A survey conducted by the Upper Township Economic Development Advisory Commission found that 90% of the respondents were in favor of a full interchange.
Upper Township has been requesting a full interchange for Exit 20 for over 30 years.
