By Herald Staff

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE — Cape May County Surrogate, W. Robert Hentges, elevated two of his current employees to new positions within his office. With the retirement of long time Deputy Surrogate Suzanne Callinan on June 30, Hentges promoted R. Lynn Germanio to the post of Deputy Surrogate and Jo-Ann Trunfio to the position of Special Deputy Surrogate. Both promotions are effective July 1 on which date Surrogate Hentges, who is also the Judge of the Surrogate Court, administered the oaths to both employees.
Deputy Surrogate Germanio has been an employee of the Cape May County Surrogate Court since October 1993 and was previously the Special Deputy Surrogate. She is responsible for the office operations, payroll, probate and all Superior Court filings, including adoptions and contested probate matters.
Jo-Ann Trunfio, an employee of the Cape May County Surrogate Court since September 2000, is responsible for the probate of wills and the administration of funds for minors deposited in the Surrogate Intermingled Trust Fund (SITF).
Hentges said, “Both employees are deserving of their promotions and are dedicated to serving the public with courtesy and efficiency.”
