DENNISVILLE – Municipal engineer Michael Fralinger informed municipal governing body members at their Sept. 27 meeting that there will be a delay in the Dennis-Petersburg Rd. project.
“There is a supply chain problem for materials needed for installation of storm pipes, curbing and inlets. This work is a preliminary requirement before the actual main project work of base paving,” Fralinger said.
“There may be a new timetable, although there is still a big attempt to begin as scheduled on Oct. 16,” he continued.
However, he worries the base paving may be postponed to late spring due to supply chain tie-ups.
According to further discussion, road detours will be announced as they are determined, especially for school and fire department operations.
The expected hours of operation for the project are 7 a.m.- 4 p.m. No evening work is currently planned.
