Stormy Forecast Shifts Boo at the Zoo ‘Til Oct. 24

COURT HOUSE – Freeholder Director Daniel Beyel announced on Oct. 15 that the Boo at the Zoo event, originally scheduled to take place Oct. 17 has been rescheduled due to stormy weather forecast for the weekend. The annual event will take place on Oct. 24 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The public is invited to wear costumes to this free family event which includes games, candy, crafts and even a scavenger hunt. The Halloween costume contest, sponsored by Aramark, will take place at 11 a.m. Registration will start at 10 a.m. in front of Ark in the Park. Entrants will be judged as they parade through the park. Also, there will be a live animal show, “Creepy Creatures” starting at Noon.
“This event is a way for us to celebrate the festive fall season with our residents and visitors to the Cape May County Zoo.” Beyel stated in a release.
This special event is free and open to the public. Take the entire family to the park and zoo for a day of fun and while there make sure to visit the more than 550 animals that call the Zoo their home.
The Cape May County Zoo is located at 707 Route 9 North in Cape May Court House (Exit 11 off of the Garden State Parkway). The free Zoo is open, weather permitting, 364 days a year – closed on Christmas Day.
