STONE HARBOR – Tax Collector Deborah Candelore told Stone Harbor Borough Council March 3 that the tax collection percentage of the borough stood at 99.4%. That was an increase over the estimated 98.29% declared by the borough in its 2019 budget.

Three municipalities brought up the rear below 96% collection percentage: Cape May (95.8%), and the boroughs of Woodbine and West Cape May, (both 95.5%).
The other municipalities in order of rate from the 2019 budgets were: North Wildwood (98.4%), Stone Harbor (98.29%), Cape May Point (97.8%), Sea Isle City (97.5%), Lower Township (97.15%), Upper Township (97.1%), Wildwood Crest (97%), Dennis Township (96.5%), West Wildwood (96.29%) and Avalon (96.26%).
