Stone Harbor Police Advise Residents of Recent Burglaries

STONE HARBOR — The Stone Harbor Police Department want to advise the public of recent burglaries to unoccupied vacation homes where large flat screen televisions were taken.
On Saturday 10-23-10, Police responded to the beachblock of 122nd Street for a reported break-in. Two large flat screens were taken and entry was made by smashing a window.
On Thursday 10-28-10 at 4:38am police responded for a report of a audible burglar alarm to a beach house on 119th Street.
Upon arrival, police discovered that a window on the east side of the house was shattered but no entry was gained. Subsequent canvass of the area revealed two houses on this beach block had been burglarized with one house being
ransacked and the other having three large flat screen televisions stolen.
Entry wag made through an unlocked front door and forced entry on the other.
Anyone with information are asked to contact the Stone Harbor Detective Division at 609-368-211 or the Cape May County Crime Stoppers at 609-465-2800.
Residents are reminded to report any suspicious activity or noises to the Stone Harbor Police Department.
