STONE HARBOR – A vacancy in the position of director of recreation and tourism gave Stone Harbor Borough Council the opportunity to rethink the roles. The borough decided to separate the functions, creating positions for a director of recreation and a director of tourism, while also giving the new tourism position the responsibility for oversight of public information.
Tina Prickett, a Middle Township High School graduate, will take on the recreation duties. A collegiate soccer and lacrosse star, Prickett has a degree in Education and Sports Science from Long Island University and a Masters in Exercise Physiology.
Jenny Olsen will assume the new role of tourism director, along with responsibilities as the borough’s public information officer. A long-time resident of the county, Olsen has lived in the borough for seven years. She has over 20 years’ experience in marketing, graphic design, and media and event planning.
