STONE HARBOR – Stone Harbor Museum Director Bruce Tell reported to Borough Council on a successful and busy year in 2017. During the year, the museum moved to a new location on Second Avenue, which provides more space for displays and programming.
In 2017, visitors to the museum increased by more than 50 percent at the new location, and programming was expanded, including a Doris Zogas exhibition which drew a number of people.
The report also noted that the Vintage House Project has been “an overwhelming success” with 157 certified homes in the borough and applications still arriving. Neighboring Avalon is launching a similar program.
Well ensconced in its new location at the border of the community’s business district, the museum is planning for an eventful 2018.
