Solarium Demolished/ Boardwalk Getting Chainsaw Cuts

By Jack Fichter

CAPE MAY – On the fourth day of demolition of Convention Hall, the Solarium was demolished right down to the piers it sat upon above the beach.
All that remains of Convention Hall is the roof and steel support system. The site was relatively free of tons of debris created by removing the walls and interior of Convention Hall.
Workers were making cuts to separate the wooden boardwalk on the side on Convention Hall from decking along Morrow’s Nut House and McGlades on the Beach restaurant.
