SIC Plans City-wide Yard Sale

SEA ISLE CITY – This spring, Sea Isle City’s property owners will be clearing-out their garages and closets, because the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Sea Isle Revitalization are co-hosting a city-wide yard sale on Saturday, May 7, 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Local homeowners wishing to participate in this colossal sale will not be required to purchase a yard sale permit or pay any fees.
To make shopping easier for the throngs of people who will be searching for bargains during the yard sale, the event’s sponsors are compiling a master list of participating homes. Sea Isle City homeowners wishing to add their addresses to that list can phone (609) 263-9090 or email sicccr@gmail.com by May 2. Homeowners who do not add their addresses to the master list will also be welcome to sell items on May 7. Participating homeowners are encouraged to display “yard sale” signs on their properties during the sale so passersby can easily identify their homes.
Starting May 5, shoppers can download the yard sale’s master list of homes from www.seaislerevitalization.com , www.seaislechamber.com or www.seaislecitynj.us . Paper copies of that list will also be available on May 7 in front of RE/MAX Beach Home Realty, 4200 Landis Avenue in Sea Isle City.
According to Sea Isle Revitalization Vice-President John Fee, this is the first time Sea Isle City has ever had a city-wide yard sale.
“We expect that many homeowners will participate in this yard sale, and we hope that this will be the start of another annual event here in Sea Isle City,” said Fee. “This is just one of a number of special events that Sea Isle Revitalization and the Chamber of Commerce sponsor together to give residents and visitors more entertainment options.”
