SEA ISLE CITY – At its July 26 meeting, City Council approved the introduction of two bond ordinances.

The first bond request is for $7.72 million, which is earmarked for a variety of capital improvement projects, including citywide drainage improvements and road reconstruction, bulkheads, improvements to Excursion Park and the municipal fire department, construction of a dog park, implementation of the state radio system, and various equipment purchases, including for refuse collection and landscaping.

The second bond introduction is for $1.14 million, and will cover utility system upgrades, addition and replacement of sanitary sewer and water distribution systems on a citywide basis, a pump station and vehicle purchases.

Both bonds will be on the council’s Aug. 9 agenda, at which time the public will have the opportunity to comment on each.
