COURT HOUSE – Set amid a series of resolutions passed by the Middle Township Committee July 2 was one that showed the continued effort of the governing body to deal with the many unsafe and unsightly structures that dot the municipality.
A resolution adopted directed township officials to demolish and remove a building at 301 Goshen Road. The building was deemed uninhabitable. Its demolition was ordered under the “Unsafe Structures” chapter of the municipal code. The condition applies to structures “dangerous to the health and safety of persons on or near the premises.” The owner of the property had failed to make necessary repairs.
