COURT HOUSE – In remarks made at the March 18 Middle Township Committee meeting, Mayor Timothy Donohue said the municipality continued to seek a redesign of Exit 9 of the Garden State Parkway.
Armed with accident evidence collected by the Middle Township Police Department, township officials advocated a complete redesign of the exit ramp.
To date, Donohue said the municipality was successful in persuading the N.J. Highway Authority to implement safety upgrades at the exit. The changes would include improvements to the guardrail, new stop signs and the inclusion of reflective chevrons. Two flashing caution beacons will also be added.
