PETERSBURG – At its May 29 meeting, Upper Township Committee decided to seek again bids for architectural services related to the possible repurposing of the former municipal building in Tuckahoe. “Now that the asbestos problem has been remediated, we’re ready for the next step,” said municipal Engineer Paul Dietrich. The bids were from March 2017. At that time, the lowest bid had the most comprehensive range of services for the plan of scope, he added. He stated that the municipality wanted to ensure bids “were still valid and we can also see if there are any new bidders out there.” After that, the township will start preparing grant applications for renovation once an architect’s study is in hand.
