Seek Bids for Public Safety

By Vince Conti

CAPE MAY – At a special council meeting July 26, Cape May City Council approved a request for proposals (RFP) seeking architectural and engineering services for a public safety facility.
The public safety building is meant to replace the existing firehouse on Franklin Street and to provide accommodations for the police department, currently housed in a part of City Hall.
The RFP was prepared by the city’s engineering firm, Mott MacDonald. The resolution states “the RFP was also reviewed by the Public Safety Building Advisory Committee.”
