NORTH WILDWOOD ─ Mayor Patrick Rosenello updated City Council Aug. 21 on the upcoming seawall extension project. According to Rosenello, the extension will stretch from Second Avenue at Kennedy Boulevard to Seventh Avenue.

The purpose of the project is to build infrastructure defenses against hurricanes, nor’easters, and other weather events. Council wishes to protect private property as well as city infrastructure.

Further discussion will determine if the extension should be capped with concrete to allow pedestrians. Grant funding of $16 million has been accrued in for the project.
