Sea Isle Swaps Health Plans; Ends Longevity Pay for Police

SEA ISLE CITY — This city has signed new contracts with new health benefits for its seven unions.
According to the Press of Atlantic City, the change will save the city about $1.2 million per year.
City Administrator George Savastano said the new contracts include across-the-board raises of 2.9 percent, or about $200,000 per year, according to the story. Contracts for all the bargaining units were opened early, the report stated. The contracts run through 2014.
