School Budget Increased in Woodbine

By Herald Staff

WOODBINE – The Board of Education passed a $5.1 million budget Tuesday that proposes an 11 percent tax hike, reports the Press of Atlantic City.
The biggest reason for the increase is a nearly 32 percent spike in tuition at Millville High School, Business Administrator Alan Parmalee said. Tuition for Woodbine students attending Millville High School jumped from $6,495 to $8,603 per student this year.
Woodbine is losing one teacher through a Reduction in Force under the proposed budget.
