NORTH CAPE MAY – A $3.99-million bond ordinance authorizing the amendment of a previous ordinance to increase the township’s debt for the Roseann Avenue project was passed by Lower Township Council March 19 after a public hearing and second reading. As reported earlier, this increase was necessitated when all construction bids received from potential contractors exceeded the township’s projected budget for the flood mitigation project. The second bid request will be released this month, with an anticipated award in May. The project is expected to take one year to complete.
