Roads Rated for Repair

LT Logo

By Jim McCarty

VILLAS – Lower Township Manager James Ridgway announced April 16 that a recently completed survey of township roads has resulted in a database of about 135 miles of roads that are in need of varying degrees of repair. The database will be used to develop a long-term street repair plan that is prioritized by a scoring system that discretely identifies each block by a numerical score between 1 and 6. The worst roads have been scored a “1”, while the best roads are scored as a “6.” The plan will break down each block by wards so that a repair list will reflect an evenhanded approach to road repair for all residents.
