Right-of-Way Changes Loom

NORTH WILDWOOD ─ According to North Wildwood city Solicitor William Kaufmann, a new “interpretation” has arisen in legal spheres regarding the Telecommunications Act of 1996. As the city introduced an ordinance Nov. 20, providing a right-of-way agreement with New Cingular Wireless PCS, Kaufmann told city council of coming restrictions. Kaufmann said the interpretation would impact municipal placement and usage of utility poles. Kaufmann said the council would be apprised of developments.
