STONE HARBOR — Police Chief Paul Reynolds assumed the duties of office Tue., May 3, having been appointed to the post by Mayor Suzanne Walters with consent of the Public Safety Committee.
Reynolds replaced Chief William Toland as head of the borough’s Police Department.
The action took place at Borough Council’s work session.
Reynolds’ move into the chief’s chair made a vacancy for Captain of Police Dan Mulraney, who was similarly appointed by the mayor and recommended by the Public Safety Committee effective May 3.
Also moving up in the department was Patrol Sgt. Robert Walker. The promotion was made with consent of the Reynolds and the Public Safety Committee.
Finally, Brent Grunow, a Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer, was promoted to police officer. According to the enabling resolution, Grunow’s promotion came with “all the duties, rights and obligations of such command position.”
