OCEAN CITY — The Ocean City Historical Museum announces its Thursday Nights at the Museum summer lecture series, which continues through Sept. 2nd.
On Aug. 19 Cape May County Clerk Rita Marie Fulginiti will present Researching your House History through Public Records. The Cape May County Clerk’s Office is the repository of land, court and other public records dating back to 1692.
Learn how to research back deeds, maps and public documents to discover your house history. Fulginiti will illustrate with a case study from a well known Ocean City property and will speak about the Ocean City Association’s impact on the development of Ocean City.
On Aug. 26 Michael McMahon will showcase Then & Now, a Pictorial Essay of Ocean City. See historic Ocean City photographs from the museum’s collection, which will be compared to present day photographs of Ocean City landmarks. See what has changed and what has stayed the same.
All lectures are free. The lecture will be held at 7 p.m. in the new lecture hall at the Ocean City Public Library Com-munity Center, 1735 Simpson Avenue, Ocean City.
The lecture series is made possible through an outreach funding grant provided by the Ocean City Free Public Library Board of Trustees. Additional funding support provided by the City of Ocean City.
