WILDWOOD CREST – According to Mayor Don Cabrera, Wildwood Crest Borough Commissioners are considering reducing the speed limit along Sunset Lake.
Discussion took place during the commissioners’ meeting Aug. 21.
During a phone interview Aug. 22, Cabrera said an ordinance was being “drafted” and details worked out. The reduction would take the speed from 25 to 15 miles per hour from May to October.
The reduction’s purpose would help ensure pedestrian safety during the summer, especially during special events at Sunset Lake. The ordinance has yet to be introduced.
