Reduce Japanese Black Pines?

STONE HARBOR – During a report from the Stone Harbor Natural Resources Committee, Lenore Tedesco said that environmental consultant, Joseph Lomax, was submitting a proposal for further work to reduce the Japanese Black Pine tree presence in the dunes. The non-native species is invasive of the dunes where it seems to thrive. An earlier effort in Stone Harbor and one in Avalon were aimed at removing Japanese Black Pines and replacing them with native vegetation.
