COURT HOUSE – Middle Township Committee adopted its third redevelopment plan May 7. The action designates a development zone along Indian Trail Road west of Route 9. Together the three plans open large areas of the municipality for redevelopment and grant the governing body power to encourage that development through potential tax incentives and reduced “red tape.”
One of the other redevelopment plans involves the site of an old concrete plant off of Route 47 near Railroad Avenue in Rio Grande.
The third plan is the most expansive and incorporates a large number of potential commercial properties along Route 9 south from Court House to Rio Grande as well as some parcels along Stone Harbor Boulevard east of the Garden State Parkway.
