POSTPONED: Fire and Rescue Services Swearing-In Ceremony Set for March 2

OCEAN CITY – The Ocean City Department of Fire and Rescue Services will hold a swearing-in ceremony at 6 p.m. Fri., March 2 at the Ocean City Tabernacle (550 Wesley Avenue).
Ocean City’s new fire chief, James P. Smith, will be sworn in during the event, a fire department tradition. The ceremony also will include the swearing-in of Ocean City Beach Patrol Chief of Operations Mark Jamieson, Captain Brian Booth and members for each rank of the fire department, including deputy chief, captain and firefighter.
Retired Ocean City Beach Patrol Chief of Operations Tom Mullineaux will be honored for his 51 years of service to the patrol.
The ceremony is open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
