OCEAN CITY – March 11, 2014 is the 5th anniversary of the disappearance of John Weisbecker from his home in the 200 block of Asbury Avenue. Weisbecker was last seen around 10:30 a.m. by a local postal worker. Weisbecker was discovered missing around 8 p.m. by family members when they returned home for the day. The investigation indicates that a Weisbecker disappeared shortly before noon. Evidence at the scene showed signs of a struggle and that Weisbecker did not leave of his own free will. Weisbecker was described at the time of his disappearance as a 6 feet and 2 inch tall white male with brown hair, a brown mustache, blue eyes and numerous tattoos on his torso and arms. Weisbecker would be 25 years of age as of March 7.
To date, the investigation is ongoing by the Cape May County Prosecutors Office, FBI, the Ocean City Police Department and the New Jersey State Police. A reward of $50,000 has been offered to anyone providing information as to John Weisbecker’s whereabouts.
