WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Frank A. LoBiondo (R-2nd) vowed not to accept his congressional pay while the federal government was shut. He wrote a check for $5,124.09 and sent it to the U.S. Treasury. That was his salary for 16 days with taxes deducted.
LoBiondo was mentioned in a recent Washington Post story which listed members of Congress who said they would not accept pay, or donate their salary to charities.
