CREST HAVEN – Martin Pagliughi, coordinator of the Cape May County Office of Emergency Preparedness, was reappointed by freeholders to that post for three more years ending July 8, 2021.
The action took place at the July 24 meeting. According to the January county payroll Pagliughi earns $86,164 annually.
In other action the board:
* Approved death pronouncement agreements with registered nurses for a year through June 1, 2019. The rate is $125 per response and pronouncement and $75 per scene when there is no pronouncement. Nurses are Lisa Gault, Jennie Lavan, Shannan Ray, Lynne Rybicki, Jodie Schweibinz and Mary Tighe.
* Approved a three-year agreement with Windstream Holdings, Inc. for (VoIP) voice-over-internet telecommunications that consolidated existing contracts for an average monthly savings of $6,000. The contract extends through July 31, 2021.
* Consented to an amendment of the Water Quality Management Plan in Lower Township at Portsmouth Road and Rockport Drive to allow a residence to be built and the Lower Township Municipal Utilities Authority to extend its sewer line 0.07 acres to service the dwelling.
* Authorized a change order (No. 9) for $139,956 to Hall Construction Co., Inc. for additional work at the Correctional Center. The funds were required for added costs for camera revisions, concealment of exposed sprinkler pipe, furnish and install speak-through devices in interview rooms, relocation of the make-up air supply grilles, repainting exercise yards and shower areas and epoxy flooring moisture preparation.
* Hired Urban Engineers Inc. of Cherry Hill, for $15,000 for general engineering services in connection with the upgrade of Rio Grande Avenue entrance to Wildwood.
