Outbreak in County Continues to Spread, 1 New Death Reported

COURT HOUSE – APRIL 13: The COVID-19 outbreak in Cape May County continues to rise.  It has also claimed another life, bringing the county’s death toll from the virus to eight.
The county last reported two days ago. Today’s report adds 22 new cases to the county total.
The eight deaths include six residents of the Victoria Manor long-term care facility, in Lower Township. Dennis Township and Upper Township each have recorded one death.
Of the 22 new cases, eight were in Middle Township and five in Lower Township. Upper Township increased by three, Dennis by two and North Wildwood, Ocean City, Wildwood Crest and Woodbine each reported one new case.
Cape May Point and Stone Harbor remain the only municipalities in the county with no confirmed cases.
