SEA ISLE CITY – Council members authorized the advertisement of bids for demolition of the old school building at 4501 Park Rd., Sept. 27.
The school sits at the future site of the municipality’s new $20 million community center.
“This is a big step, complementing a recent one for asbestos removal, in the construction timeline of the center,” commented mayor Leonard Desiderio.
Ground-breaking for the new center is slated for mid-2023 and will take about two years to complete.
