OCEAN CITY – Officials are reevaluating plans for a public safety building, The Press of Atlantic City reported.
Multiple previous plans were rejected, but even those prior ideas may get a second look, according to George Savastano, the Ocean City business administrator.
The plans currently include a $42 million building with police and fire headquarters combined with the municipal court. Not all in city government were on board when the idea was first proposed.
The current plan would require the relocation of the skate park and the demolition of the current fire department headquarters, according to The Press. It would be placed at the corner of Fifth Street and West Avenue.
The city reportedly intends to take up the issue during council meetings after Labor Day.
