PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCMENTS:
• All Residents and Merchants are advised that the Ocean City Community Oriented Policing Unit will conduct security surveys of your home or business. The Officer will then be able to make suggestions about improving the security of your home or business based on his observations. Please contact the COP Unit at (609) 525-9108 to schedule a Security Survey.
• The Ocean City Police Department Tip of the Month: Ocean City Police have a ZERO tolerance when it comes to enforcing quality of life issues such as noise and unlawful consumption of alcohol. We encourage the public to contact the Police Department whenever they feel a violation is occurring. There is a six officer noise/alcohol unit specifically assigned to handle these complaints throughout the summer months.
• The Ocean City Police Department is responding to complaints about persons consuming alcoholic beverages on the beach. Everyone is reminded that public consumption of alcohol is a violation of our City Ordinance. Lifeguards, Beach Tag Inspectors and Police Officers will be patrolling the beaches enforcing the ban on alcohol.
