OCEAN CITY — From Sunday, Feb. 1 to Saturday, Feb. 7, members of the Ocean City Police Department responded to 729 calls for service, an average of 104 per week.
The following are among the more serious calls:
Feb. 1, 2009: Sunday

• The Police Department assisted with 5 Fire/Rescue calls

• City Ordinance, Alcohol violation, 4400 block West Ave., summons issued, at 2:25am
• Harassment investigation, 600 block Wesley Ave., report filed, at 7:20am
• Verbal Dispute investigation, 1200 block West Ave., report filed, at 7:38am
• Verbal Dispute investigation, 160o block Haven Ave., report filed, at 1:42am
• Theft investigation, 800 block 8th St., report filed, at 6:18pm
