OCEAN CITY — For the week Sunday, Jan. 25 to Saturday, Jan. 31, Ocean City Police Department responded to 607 calls for service, an average of 87 per day.
The following is a list of the more serious calls:
January 25, 2009: Sunday

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCMENTS:
• A reminder to drive cautiously during the winter months. Bridges and roadways may freeze without warning causing dangerous driving conditions.
• In March the Ocean City Police Department will be participating in a “Hang Up Just Drive” program to enforce New Jersey’s Cell phone laws while driving a motor vehicle. This is a zero tolerance program and will be conducted during the first two weeks of the month.
