OCEAN CITY – The Ocean City Police Department reported their activities for the week of Dec. 2 – Dec. 8, 2012. Police responded to 611 calls for service, a daily average of 87.
Sun., Dec. 2, 2012:
Calls for service: 57
Motor Vehicle Stops: 19 Motor Vehicle Accidents: 0 Property Checks: 17 Alarms: 2
-The Police Department assisted with 3 Fire and 4 EMS calls
-Weapons offense, 34th Street, at 1:28 p.m.
-Domestic violence, 600 block Wesley Ave., at 6:44 p.m.
-Harassment, Wesley Rd., at 7:13 p.m.
Mon., Dec. 3, 2012:
Calls for service: 104
Motor Vehicle Stops: 46 Motor Vehicle Accidents: 1 Property Checks: 29 Alarms: 2
-The Police Department assisted with 11 Fire and 8 EMS calls
-Motor vehicle accident, no injuries, 700 block Asbury Ave., at 9:32 a.m.
-Warrant, 900 block Bay Ave., one in custody, at 3:24 p.m.
-Domestic violence, 900 block Wesley Ave., at 10:23 p.m.
Tues., Dec. 4, 2012:
Calls for service: 85
Motor Vehicle Stops: 25 Motor Vehicle Accidents: 1 Property Checks: 34 Alarms: 0
-The Police Department assisted with 7 fire and 4 EMS calls
-Harassment, 1000 block Central Ave., at 10:59 p.m.
-Motor vehicle accident, no injuries, Russ Chattin Bridge, at 1:34 p.m.
-Warrant, 2000 block Bay Ave., one in custody, at 1:46 p.m.

-Motor vehicle accident, hit & run, 11th Street, at 12:00 p.m.
-Shoplifting, 3400 block Simpson Ave., at 5:36 p.m.
-Theft, 1600 Haven Ave., at 5:46 p.m.

-The Police Department assisted with 7 fire and 6 EMS calls
-Criminal mischief, Waterview Blvd., at 9:21 a.m.
-Criminal mischief, Bartram La., at 11:07 a.m.
-Warrant, 900 block Asbury Ave., one in custody, at 5:00 p.m.
-Criminal mischief, Somerset La., at 5:30 p.m.
-Burglary, 500 block 9th Street, at 8:09 p.m.
-CDS investigation, 700 block Moorlyn Terr., one in custody, at 8:31 p.m.
Public Service Announcements:
-Just a reminder that it is a violation of a City Ordinance to have dogs on the boardwalk anytime during the year.
-When driving on Route 52 please remember that the speed limit is 40mph.
-City Ordinance 87-17sec.4-32 prohibits any Boat/Trailer over 22 feet in overall length from being parked on a city street. Any boat/trailer less than 22 feet in overall length can only remain on a city street for three consecutive days. Officers will be issuing summons and towing boats/trailers for any observed violations.
