OCEAN CITY – The Ocean City Police Department reported their activities for the week of Nov. 11 – Nov. 17, 2012. Police responded to 652 calls for service, a daily average of 93.
Sun., Nov. 11, 2012:
Calls for service: 89
Motor Vehicle Stops: 21 Motor Vehicle Accidents: 1 Property Checks: 18 Alarms: 5
-The Police Department assisted with 14 Fire and 10 EMS calls
-Motor vehicle accident, no injuries, 900 block West Ave., at 10:55 a.m.
-Domestic violence, North Street, at 11:24 a.m.
-Domestic violence, 1200 block Asbury Ave., at 12:00 p.m.
-Burglary, Clipper Dr., at 1:22 p.m.
-Warrant, Route 52, one in custody, at 1:33 p.m.
-Warrant, 1000 block Wesley Ave., at 2:07 p.m.
-Warrant, 1500 block Asbury, at 4:45 p.m.
Mon., Nov. 12, 2012:
Calls for service: 100
Motor Vehicle Stops: 31 Motor Vehicle Accidents: 0 Property Checks: 30 Alarms: 2
-The Police Department assisted with 12 Fire and 12 EMS calls
-Harassment, 400 block Central Ave., at 6:25 p.m.

-Warrant, 900 block Ocean Ave., one in custody, at 9:37 a.m.
-Motor vehicle accident, with injuries, 9th Street, at 11:48 a.m.
-Theft, 2200 block Bay Ave., at 1:30 p.m.
-Burglary, 16th Street, at 2:47 p.m.
-Burglary, 1200 block Bay Ave., at 2:56 p.m.
-DUI, 3900 block West Ave., one in custody, at 11:52 p.m.
Public Service Announcements:
-Just a reminder that it is a violation of a City Ordinance to have dogs on the boardwalk anytime during the year.
-When driving on Route 52 please remember that the speed limit is 40mph.
-City Ordinance 87-17sec.4-32 prohibits any Boat/Trailer over 22 feet in overall length from being parked on a city street. Any boat/trailer less than 22 feet in overall length can only remain on a city street for three consecutive days. Officers will be issuing summons and towing boats/trailers for any observed violations.
