OCEAN CITY – The Ocean City Police Department reported their activities for the week of March 4, 2012 – March 10, 2012. Police responded to 555 calls for service, a daily average of 79.
Sun., March 4, 2012:
Calls for service: 92
Motor Vehicle Stops: 35 Motor Vehicle Accidents: 0 Property Checks: 27 Alarms: 0
-The Police Department assisted with 4 Fire and 6 EMS calls
-Verbal dispute, 400 block Haven Ave., at 4:11 a.m.
-Disorderly conduct investigation, 500 block Atlantic Ave., at 3:04 p.m.
Mon., March 5, 2012:
Calls for service: 73
Motor Vehicle Stops: 20 Motor Vehicle Accidents: 0 Property Checks: 26 Alarms: 1
-The Police Department assisted with 4 Fire and 5 EMS calls
-Trespassing investigation, 800 block Plymouth Pl., at 11:52 a.m.
-Harassment investigation, 1500 block Simpson Ave., at 12:11 p.m.
-Burglary investigation, 500 block 4th St., at 3:00 p.m.
-Harassment investigation, 1300 block Asbury Ave., at 9:29 p.m.

-Trespassing investigation, 5000 block Central Ave., at 11:24 a.m.
-Threats investigation, 600 block Wesley Ave., at 6:15 p.m.
Public Service Announcements:
-Just a reminder that it is a violation of a City Ordinance to have dogs on the boardwalk anytime during the year.
-When driving on Route 52 please remain alert for sudden stops due to ongoing construction.
-New Jersey Motor Vehicle Law requires that all snow and ice be removed from your vehicle prior to driving on a public roadway.
