OCEAN CITY – The Ocean City Police Department reported their activities for the week of Nov. 18 – Nov. 24, 2012. Police responded to 506 calls for service, a daily average of 72.
Sun., Nov. 18, 2012:
Calls for service: 80
Motor Vehicle Stops: 27 Motor Vehicle Accidents: 1 Property Checks: 27 Alarms: 2
-The Police Department assisted with 3 Fire and 4 EMS calls
-Theft, 1400 block Haven Ave., at 4:41 p.m.
-Motor vehicle accident, no injuries, 800 block Ocean Ave., at 6:30 p.m.
Mon., Nov. 19, 2012:

Public Service Announcements:
-Just a reminder that it is a violation of a City Ordinance to have dogs on the boardwalk anytime during the year.
-When driving on Route 52 please remember that the speed limit is 40mph.
-City Ordinance 87-17sec.4-32 prohibits any Boat/Trailer over 22 feet in overall length from being parked on a city street. Any boat/trailer less than 22 feet in overall length can only remain on a city street for three consecutive days. Officers will be issuing summons and towing boats/trailers for any observed violations.
-Do not place items damaged by the storm in an unsecure area on your property if you wish to salvage those items for future use. Many thefts have occurred of items placed outside of properties that the owner was evaluating for possible salvage and for the insurance company to observe.
