OCEAN CITY — During the month of August the Ocean City Police received three reported burglaries and two reported attempted burglaries.
The most recent incident occurred at the Water Park in the 700 block of the Boardwalk.
During that incident surveillance video captured an image of the suspect while in the act of committing the burglary.
Based on the video image the investigating officer was able to identify the accused, Anthony Caggiano, as the actor.
Additional investigation by the officer led to Caggiano being charged with four other similar incidents.
Two of those incidents occurred in the 600 and 700 block of Asbury Avenue, the 900 block of Haven Avenue and the 600 block of Ocean Avenue.
An arrest warrant was issued for Caggiano in the amount of $25,000 full cash bail by Judge Richard Russell. The investigation was conducted by Det. Stephen Schaffer.
Caggiano, 29, of this city, was charged with three counts of burglary and two counts of attempted burglary.
