North Wildwood Reports 3,978 Incidents in Sept.

NORTH WILDWOOD – City Police handled 3,978 calls for the period Sept. 1 through Sept. 30.
Police answered 20 Motor vehicle accidents, 32 thefts, three burglaries, one possession of stolen property, six fraud case, one weapons offenses, 18 simple assaults, one aggravated assault, and 10 drug offenses.
Other incidents included 313 disorderly persons offenses, 19 malicious property damage calls, one suspicious fire, 348 traffic enforcement, 199 summonses issued, 58 medical incidents, one recovered stolen items, six animal complaints and the department responded to 24 false burglar alarms. There was one motor vehicle theft. 225 persons were arrested, which included 215 adults and there were seven drunken driving arrests.
1,357 residential and business property checks were conducted and police assisted the fire department at 12 fires. There were 35 false fire alarms in Sept. Additional calls covered 26 other agency assists.
There were 563 miscellaneous services. 268 beach and boardwalk permits were processed and $5,656.25 fee collections were forwarded to the city clerk.
