NORTH WILDWOOD — Police in this city handled 2,388 calls for the month of October.
Police answered six motor vehicle accidents, 18 thefts, four burglaries, three fraud cases, one simple assault and one drug offense. Other incidents included 18 disorderly persons offenses, 12 malicious property damage calls, 187 traffic enforcement, 39 summonses issued, 57 medical incidents, here recovered stolen items, 16 animal complaints and the department responded to 50 false burglar alarms. Twenty-four persons were arrested with included 23 adults.
Over one thousand residential and business property checks were conducted. There were six false fire alarms for the month. Additional calls covered 15 other agency assists. There was one police personnel injury and 528 miscellaneous services. Police list 94 beach and boardwalk permits were processed and $2,079.45 in fee collections were forwarded to the city clerk.
