North Wildwood Police Report 2,249 Incidents in March

NORTH WILDWOOD — City Police handled 2,249 calls for the period March 1 through March 31. Police answered 4 motor vehicle accidents, 15 thefts, 1.1 burglaries, four fraud cases, four simple assaults, one drug offense.
Other incidents included 42 disorderly person’s offenses, 14 malicious property damage calls, 121 traffic enforcement, 49 summonses issued, 63 medical incidents, two recovered stolen items, E.3 animal complaints and the department responded to 26 false burglar alarms. 43 persons were arrested which included 43 adults.
1,285 residential and business property checks were conducted and police assisted the fire department at one fire. There were 17 false fire alarms in March. Additional calls covered 13 other agency assists. There was one police personnel injuries and there were 202 miscellaneous services. 13 beach and boardwalk permits were processed and $557.50 in fee collections was forwarded to the city clerk.
