North Wildwood Police Report 2,230 Incidents in February

NORTH WILDWOOD – City Police handled 2,230 calls for the period Feb. 1 through Feb. 29. Police answered two motor vehicle accidents, six thefts, two burglaries, four fraud case, one simple assault, one drug offense.
Other incidents included 35 disorderly persons offenses, six malicious property damage calls, 114 traffic enforcement, 46 summonses issued, 51 medical incidents, one recovered stolen items, nine animal complaints and the department responded to 15 false burglar alarms. 41 persons were arrested which included 41 adults and there were two drunken driving arrests.
1326 residential and business property checks were conducted and police assisted the fire department at one fire. There were 18 false fire alarms in February. Additional calls covered 17 other agency assists. There were one police personnel injuries and there were 276 miscellaneous services. 13 beach and boardwalk permits were processed and $767.25 in fee collections was forwarded to the city clerk.
