NORTH WILDWOOD – Chief Matthew Gallagher recently presented multiple commendations to officers at the department’s annual Christmas Party/Awards Ceremony last week in North Wildwood.
Life Saving Awards were given to the following officers:
– Officer Patrick Flynn, Officer Justin Robinson and Officer Ryan Madden for their actions in dealing with an unresponsive victim at the Birds of Paradise Motel Aug. 15, 2015
– Officer Mark Santiago, Officer Patrick Flynn and Officer Kyle Zaleski for their actions dealing with a victim in cardiac arrest on the 200 block of North New York Avenue Aug. 31, 2015
– Officer Kyle Zaleski for his actions dealing with a victim in cardiac arrest on East Marina Court Sept. 13, 2015
– Life Saving Awards and Certificate of Commendations were issued for actions of officers dealing with an unresponsive victim in the ocean at 12th Avenue July 28, 2015. Life Saving Awards were given to Officer Mark Santiago and Officer Kyle Zaleski and Certificate of Commendations issued to Sgt. Brian Harkins, Det. Daniel Schules and Det. Justin Melo for this incident.
Certificate of Commendations were issued to the following officers:
– Officer Mark Santiago, Officer Bryan Skill and Officer Daniel Hartman for their actions at a multiple vehicle accident on the Beach Creek Bridge Feb. 21, 2015
– Officer Jerald Garriott for his actions involving a swimmer in distress, as a part of the department’s Water Patrol Unit, in Hereford Inlet July 25, 2015
– Officer Mark Santiago and Officer Kyle Zaleski for their actions in an attempted save of a juvenile in the water in Hereford Inlet July 30, 2015.
Honorable Service pins were awarded for every five years of consecutive honorable service to the following officers:
5 years – Sgt. Matthew Mattera, Sgt. Katherine Flounders, Det. Michael Griser, Det. Daniel Schules
10 years – Capt. Kevin Tolan, Officer Clifford Massie
15 years – Lt. William Etsell
Sea Isle City – I am in the Wawa today ,Thursday , at Sea Isle blvd and Rt.9 and in comes 3 Sea Isle City police cars . As Sea Isle tax payer I cannot help but wonder why 3 Sea Isle police cars would be in Ocean…
